Advanced Sketching Course: Black and White Landscape

Once I had completed the initial drawing of the medieval village, the course truly became much harder. Not because of learning new and different techniques I would have to implement into my art, but rather the way this particular piece was drawn. A quick disclaimer: I am not completely finished with this piece as of now, but when it is done, I will update this blog and post the finished product.
Having seen the picture, some of you may now realize why it takes so long to make art in this particular style. To place each dot with a pen by hand is not only time consuming, but also extremely tiring, hence why it is taking so long to finish.
Edit 1: After a long, grueling process of finishing the tree and background, I'm proud to say this piece is finally finished. Here's the final drawing:
I think while the image doesn't do it justice for the changes because of the lighting I took the picture in, I added a lot of shading into the edges of drawing and completed the tree. I'm very happy with how this turned out, and is possible my favourite piece I have drawn yet.
