Advanced Sketching Course: Landscape Assignment

My sketching course is now complete, and my final task is to create 12 sketches/drawings that reflect what I've learnt along the way. One of the most prominent and enjoyable sketches I made during my lessons were the landscape sketches, as they had the most character to them. So, for my first assignment, I decided to do a landscape sketch of the mountains and houses in between them.

This sketch took me quite a while to do, as the style of tree creation was different to what I normally do. Also, creating reflections in the water were difficult, as I had to think of how it would look like flipped upside down. Tomorrow, I'll be putting up a slightly more abstract drawing as one of my assignments, and one that while simple, I am proud of.
