Tata Consultancy Service: Day 1 of the Internship

Over the summer of grade 11, my mind raced for things to do, besides just the academic pressure of finishing my EE and IA's. Having done an internship in 10th grade, I decided it would be a good idea to try and do another one in the summer. Applying through my school portal, I went through several rounds of sending in my CV, resume and a cover letter, followed by an interview. After a week or so of nervous anticipation, I heard back that I was one of the four chosen applicants to continue on with the internship with TCS. Elated, my onboarding began right away. Day 1 comprised of meeting my managers and my fellow interns. I was interning in the sustainability section of the company, and so was shown the ropes about the basics of sustainability principles and what the company aspired to achieve. I cannot delve into too much detail as I was made to sign an NDA, but lots of the information I will be sharing here will be generic information about what I did. After the short introduction, my fellow intern(who had already been working there for 2 months prior), asked me to research and make notes on topics such as APAC reporting standards and stock mandates. I worked on that till the end of the day, and that was day 1 complete.
