Day 13: Terraining and Trees

With my first unity project done and dusted, it was time for me to venture into the game making features of Unity. I started day 13 by looking up a few guides on how to terrain land, create trees and grass, and importing a character from Mixamo as my model. The terrain I created was a simple rugged grassland, with winding paths snaking around the plane. Once the hills and mountains had finished, I moved on to importing tree assets from the Unity asset store, and adding them to the land. A simple grass asset covered the plane in lush, green foliage, and already, I could feel the world coming together. To finish today's work, I imported a Knight character from Mixamo with basic animations, so that I would be able to animate the character to actually move and interact with the world.
